Yesterday I had just finished organsing my Will with one of my friends and Certified Networker students Nita Maru who is a Lawyer specialising in Wills in Dubai and the UAE.

Dubai is an incredible city to work in and live but as a result of its Sharia Legal system there can be implications for Expats working here in the event of Death. Should the person not have a LOCAL Will in place then it can all go horribly wrong . The expected norms of your home country will not apply and the individual could loose everything or have it frozen in a bank somewhere.

Children can also be sent away to be cared for by other family members and not the mother as one would expect in the case of the fathers death.

I thought it pruedent to let other people know of my actions ( and findings ) as I am fully aware that many people like myself, even though we pride ourselves as being switched on people do not have Wills in place  and have not done the necessary to look after our loved ones should the worst occur.

By the next morning two of my friends on Facebook had requested Nita’s details to sort out their own Wills. Both were business owners.
